Default Side Airbag circuit fault – driver

If this was covered somewhere else, my bad. I did a few searches with no luck.

I have a 2006 XJR(left side drive). Shortly after I got the car, the Air Bag light came on, then went away and came back intermittently. When I got the car it was set to move the seat and steering column back and up when the door was opened, then move everything back when the car was started. I've switched that once I got the car(made it harder for me to get out of the car). Most likely set that way from the previous owner.

I found the thread on the codes. Mine is 22-Side Airbag circuit fault – driver. Is this most likely a loose harness, broke wire?

Anything as the most likely culprit that I can check before I have the dealer check it out? Money is a little tight right now, but if thats what needs to be done, then so be it.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

I also had a 2-2 code, and it is specifically the side restraint on the driver side. Jag tech on here recommended pulling up the leather on the seat, getting the connector, and removing/reinstalling to make sure the connection is tight and secure. While in the seat (actually, I removed it) i pulled all harness connectors apart and squirted it with electrical contact cleaner...just to be safe.

I've got a thread in the XK8 area with pics and my saga with the air bag light.

So far, so good. Light hasn't returned.

I had to have a light turned out once, due to unpluging the the air bag switch then turning the key on. It happens .
With probably close to a hundred wires in the drivers seat alone, it'll take me alittle time to deciper the correct wire, if indeed it is a broken wire.

But why would I take my Jaguar to a Chrysler dealer?
