It worked for me.Right click on it and "open it in another tab" and I found it to work. I have a 2004 xjr and a Samsung Galaxy S 5 and know there are some components that need to be in the system( expensive) it if wasn't pre-installed as an option. Here is what I found so far as a link...

Guys, I bought for 100.00 the new updated Bluetooth module and replaced the antenna and the box and now the Bluetooth connects immediately, even when I haven't started the car. The pairing is also just as fast. In 08-up, they had a revision and the revised box is the one you want. I sold the one that came in the car for 100.00, so I broke even. It pairs up so fast that all I do when I get a new phone go into Bluetooth settings on my phone and it finds the Jaguar car instantly and then I put in the 4 digit code and its paired. No more of that messing around trying to make it work. I did that last year and it holds as many phones as you can connect to it. I have a IPhone 6S and my wife has a Galaxy 7 Edge and they are instant hook ups. Find a wrecked car and buy the module out of it. Trust me its worth the effort.

I have a 2007 XJ Super V8 and the factory bluetooth connects instantly to my iphone 6plus. You can pair the phone (only 1 phone at a time but you can replace any phone with another any time). You can also download your phone book from your smartphone into your car's phone directory. Let me know if you need help on how to do these 2 things.

I went on ebay and found this: 2005 Jaguar XJ8 L Sedan Communication Phone Bluetooth Module 2W93 19K350 AC | eBay It is the 2w9319k350ac device mentioned widely on web. If my car (04 xj8 with nav screen and DVD drive in trunk) never had this in it and I buy it and plug it in, will it work? The car has microphones all over the headliner I could talk into I presume. Will I need additional modules or special initializing programming instructions to marry it to my car? Thank you.

Sorry that box you don't want. You want the black plastic one and a new antenna. The car is pre-wired. I thought that was the Voice command box. The original box was mounted in the console but moved to the trunk. Just change the loom to except what ever options you plan on adding. They make many different looms. They are marked on the loom to what plugs into what. For example if you have a Nav, ICE, voice and CD then you will have a loom with 5 connections ( one being to connect to the cars harness). If you have Nav and CD and you want phone you need one that has 4 connections and so one.

I am shocked that in 2004 Jag put an old useless phone system
the last car i had with the giant telephone buttons on the dash was my 1996 Sl 500 Mercedes..
There is absolutely no common sense why these gorgeous late model Jags have these useless ****ed up built in phones that maybe you can use to call santa clause or the easter bunny.. what the hell am i supposed to do with the giant useless key board and the useless buttons on the steering wheel?? this is the only complaint I have about mt gorgeous Jag that i love.. It must be a ****ing stupiud this Ford thought up...
I must say.. I think this is the best body style ever of this elegant classic car.. and i know I am in for store with the air suspension bullshit...
But can some on tell me how to ingnore the ignorance of Ford..and tel me how to ****ing hook up my iphone 6 and also my ipad etc..
NO ONE will convince me that in 2004 rhese luxury were not considered for these year beauriful cara

Thank you to all who have offered information on this so please forgive ignorant questions. I do not fully understand the difference between Bluetooth capability and pre-wired phone capability. My 02 Xtype book showed pictures of a phone fitted into the console which was not present when I bought the car used. My present 04 xj8 seems to have newer setup for pairing with any external phone via Bluetooth. Are these two completely different systems for talking on a phone in a jaguar? If I took pictures of rear chamber of my car and its empty wiring plugs, will that help determine what exact box I need? If I push a phone command button now, screen says PHONE NOT FITTED same as the 02 screen would say. If someone who has a working factory Bluetooth system with nav screen and cd changer in boot would post image of their rear chamber with the connectors showing, that would help me a lot before I spend money on a box that might not work in my car.

I can not agree with you more!!! in 2004 I had a BMW 535i and it had bluetooth and was easy to use.. this giant waste of space and ancient telephone technology in my otherwise gorgeous Jag.. really angers me... Come on Ford.. you did so much right improvements on this year.. the styling.. the handling everything is perfect.. but this ridiculous giant useless BIG old fashion telephone buttons really pisses me off. and now i need to go to some aftermarket shop to use modern conveniences like Ipad and I phone THAT SHOULD WORK IN A LUXURY CAR FROM 2004!!!!!!!!!!
