Smoke from tailpipes

Yes and No:
Water is a byproduct of the Catalyst reaction so will be emmited as vapour(steam) so depending on ambient temp can be seen even on a warm engine.
I find it best to sniff the exhaust just to see if it aint oil or coolant burning?
But if you aint using coolant or oil and no CEL then its probaly normal.

Smoke, no, not normal
White SMOKE is indicative of water in the oil (think cracked head or block but this is very different than white vapor. While I don't encourage inhaling your exhaust, you will probably smell coolant. Watch your coolant level of course and don't let your imagination run away with you. Not a common occurrence.
Blue SMOKE, you're burning oil
Black Smoke, fuel problem

All myJags have smoked (steamed) like that. Not oil or coolant, or rich fuel. It just might be the way that the exhaust is run. I think it's rare that the rear mufflers get that hot to evaporate all the moisture when temps are sort of cool. My super "steams" more than my other Jags, but its just vapor. I was concerned about it a couple of weeks ago, but the rest of the cars around me were doing the similar thing. Dual exhaust doesn't help much for the cause. It really freaks me out when I go WOT.
Most likely an issue with the fuel,or other items would have shown its ugly face in my fuel trims or O2 sensor readings, but wouldn't throw a code.
This is not like the old 4.0 6 cylinder motors that would leak down oil, and smoke until it burned off.
I'm not loosing any oil, water either. Also many times when its a water or oil issue and levels don't change, its because the oil and water are mixing, so no level change. But as we know it will show up with milky oil, or oilly coolant.
Wait till you get behind another Jag and see it, you will feel so much better.
You should see it at WOT at -5F.

Reading this thread, it seems it could be smoke or it could be vapour. However if the car is running OK just keep things under observation. If you get a low coolant alarm in the next month you'll know it could be serious !
