Default Something Loose!

I have a Jaguar XJ8 Sport, which has a rattling sound coming from the near side front area - sounds like something is loose. Took it into my local garage, they replaced the 'drop links', but it is still making the noise. It's only when I'm driving on an uneven surface or driving over speed bumps and there is a strange sort of 'rasping' sound when I turn the wheel to the left. Any ideas what could be the problem? It's booked into the garage again next week.

What year is the car and what mileage ? The X350 cars have a lot of bushes in the front suspension and some of them can wear prematurely. Do you have any unusual tyre wear, like only on inside or outside shoulders ?

The struts themselves can fail and rattle and the only way to be sure of the

source is to replace the strut.

Need to exhaust all other avenues first.
