my mothers car [an early 04] is completly lowered ---comp. runs for a few minutes then stops after a minute or so starts cycle again ---suspension does,nt rise --------i think might be air leak near comp.---------my main ? is she called me said she had amder light ----air susp. fault ----i told her be careful --look put for red light air ride low -------------will see it after work ---when i see the car it,s all the way down ---but has no ride hight message and still doe,nt ---the lack of message worries me -------thanks in advance

 

Sounds like a classic air shock leak, but could be line related also. Check the lines at compressor and the manifold under the spare tire near the pressure tank. Soapy water in a spray bottlle would be my first diagnosis step. Get all your areas ready for inspection prior to starting as the compressor will only run & cycle for so long. Other members will have more advice, as i am only going off what i've read previously. My air suspension has had no issues.

1 problem fixed bad front driver strut ---stole 1 from my spare car---the thing that scares me though is that the car never got a red light --car to low message --anly the amber --air suspention fault light----------but now my second xj is a low riber -----------thanks for the responce ----nice big xj you have
