Sound system dead on XJ8

Sound system dead on XJ8
Over the Christmas holiday I got a 2005 Jaguar XJ8L. Two-owner car with 64k miles. Everything worked fine on the car as far as sound system, navigation and phone screen. The in-trunk CD player did not work. Also, none of the previous owners had paired any phones to their car system via Bluetooth.
The reason why the city player did not work was unknown, but the previous owner asked me to see if I could retrieve a CD from the cartridge. The eject button on the player did not do anything as there appeared to be no power to the player. I took the ICE rack off the side of the trunk and removed the CD player to take it apart and get to the cartridge. There were no CDs in it, so I put it back together and back in the car. The radio, in-dash CD player and navigation voice still worked at this point.
I decided to pair my Android cell phone to the car to be able to use the phone feature, and it successfully paired. I even made a test phone call. The next morning, I could not get any sound out of the radio, the in-dash CD, or navigation. The screens were normal and showed all functions/buttons, and even the volume level could be seen going up and down when the *** was turned, but no sound at all. Also, the phone system screen showed “No phone fitted to this vehicle”.
I read many forums posts about similar things happened to other Jaguar owners, and what was done to repair. Most of the fixes involved turning the ignition on and off several times, disconnecting the battery for hard reset, touching the disconnected negative cable to positive cable, but none of these made any difference.
Thinking the amplifier went bad somehow, I got a replacement amplifier online with the exact same model number down to the last two letters. This made no difference, even with several hard resets and battery disconnected overnight. I checked all fuses and found correct power to the amplifier. I suspect the fiber optic system is not communicating from one device to the next, as disconnecting the loops made no difference, and I could not see any light coming from the fiber, even in the dark. I read the various posts about installing a fiber loop to isolate a defective component, but I'm not able to find the correct fiber loop with proper connector for this model. There are many online but they do not connect to the Jaguar system.
I suspect the Bluetooth module may have gone wrong and messed things up. I understand it is under the center console box. I will get to it and disconnect it from the system to see if it makes a difference.
If anyone has experienced this and has a fix or other suggestions to try, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you

To the OP, I don't really have any suggestions. The head unit sends to the amp by fiber-optic, and the amp is where the speaker wires originate, so testing the link from the head unit to the amp is... well, I sure don't know how to test it.
