Hi all here we go again

I purchased a Bluetooth module 7W93-10D893-AB

Then sent the car to my indie's shop for install

My car has the phone in the console and from what I gathered on the forum I should've been able to replace the standard phone module with the newer Bluetooth module and Bluetooth works?

So crux is Bluetooth module inserted no reading from the Idd tool if it's there or not. I thought it would have to be switched on like the Radio?

Upon installation no sound from speakers head unit appears to be working tried the
Radio bypass code (Press A.Mem + PTY + >>. All at same time) still no sound also no notification if the Bluetooth is working so plugged original phone module back in still no sound plugged idd back in and checked if all connected.

Appears there's no connection to amplifier (only just found out it's got an amplifier) on idd readings

my car has the non navigation head unit similar to X type cars and small amplifier

My question has anyone had this issue if so what's the workaround also is the amplifier repairable it doesn't smell burnt

I'm going to repair the head unit light first while the head units out got a description from the forum how to do this

If the car wasn't so difficult with this d2b rubbish I'd rip it all out and put something better in but not prepared to spend 5 grand in labour to install it all

Any info appreciated

 

Similar issue as above. No sound from speakers
