Spare Tire XJR 2004
#2
Is it a space saver, or a full size? If full size it should be the same wheel/size as on the car, but it can be different and still function as a spare. If space saver (or full size, for that matter), the overall tire diameter must come close to the overall rolling diameter of the wheels on the car. The rim sizes can vary, yet still accomplish this.
Regardless of the rim sizes, if the rolling diameters are different by more than 15% the ABS will interpret that as wheel slip.

Budsang1, yes, you'd be a good check for Kfishlock since I don't have a spare XJR in my garage at the moment!...but I surely wish I did!

What about uni-directional tyres ? A full size wheel with one of these on can only be fitted on one side of the car. Can you get bi-directional in the large sized used by Jaguar. On my Rover 75 full size spare I specifically fitted a bi-directional, (also a mid-range tyre to save money !).
