The car does not have spark plug wires in the classic sense. It has 8 ignition coils, one per cylinder, that incorporate the connector to the spark plug.

The wiring to the ignition coils is part of the engine harness.

Most probably the price the Jag dealer mentioned is for an ignition coil.

Best regards,

Thomas

Thank you Thomas ah duh I should've known that, replaced Coils and plugs just trying to get back to 23 MPG in single digits, had injector system flushed or what ver they do...seemed to have worked. Did have a throttle body code though; maybe connected to dirty injectors ?
BTW is there aw ay to reset computer ; I replced the Arnott air shocks, now they raise and lower normal but still get the message in dash ?

Also again and again it's NOT a Ford/Lincoln engine!

Why are you replacing the coils? Do you have any codes?

Aye.

More's the pity.

Not fair to lay ALL the blame on Jaguar, even so.

Ford controlled the budget at the time they were struggling to get something usable running, allocated far too little money to have had a chance of getting a factory built AND get a new engine design sorted.

Tata's need to build a whole new factory didn't leave funds enough to correct the design shortcomings, later, either - just add new ones.

If they have flushed the system, maybe also the throttle body got flushed, as well. Might be the reason fo not having an error code anymore.

Regarding the Arnotts, I would say the resetting the error message for the suspension will not help in the first place.

If you search the forum, you will see quite a few threads about the Arnott air shocks, and that they do not have CATS. It seems that because of this there is an electronic module that you need in order not to have the error messages anymore. I cannot telll from personla experience because I run the otiginal Bilsteins on my car.

Best regards,

Thomas
