Spots on door frames
My recently purchased 2006 X-350 VDP, with just 32,000 miles is almost flawless. But the door trim above the doors and below the windows, which I assume is aluminum has white spots. Does anyone have an idea as how to get rid of these? (My great friend, Ron has a similar issue on his 2009 XF Supercharged)

Welcome to the forum derektonytieu,
Some Jaguar models have aluminium trims and others have them in stainless steel. I've moved your question from General Tech Help to X350 forum for advice from members with the same model.

It is very difficult to eliminate these spots because there is a fairly thick plastic layer over the shiny metal. Replacement is expensive, but I did recently replace the passenger side front door waist line trim, but only because the rear end had become loose and was sticking up. Cost was about £135 all in. I have used paint polish to try to get a good shine and to be fair, this does make the trims look better, but in certain light they can still be seen. Many other cars with this type of trim suffer the same. On my previous car, a 2003 X350 Sport, all these trims were painted black, so I had no problem.
