Steering wheel shakes after hitting bumps

Car drives great, rides great, and tracks well. However, when I hit a hard bump on concrete interstate or a bump in a curve, the steering wheel will shake (shimmy). What should I look at to resolve this issue?

Wear or looseness in the suspension or steering

Get a mech to look at it-he may not charge you just for looking?
