Strange phone problem
I installed a phone system in my 2004 XJR about 2 months ago. (https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...004-xjr-83505/) I used a BTUM revision A and a PSE revision D. I used the D2B connector marked ICE since the car doesn;t have the rear entertainment and it would keep the PSE in the correct sequence on the D2B ring.Except for a brief problem where the mic didn't work, cured by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, it's been working fine. The other day I went into the menu to lower the phone volume a little, and then did something stupid, which is probably the cause of my problem.
I have discovered that when I access the menu screen it displays five choices. However, the first time you use the phone another menu appears titled Rear Entertainment. Once I shut the car off for six minutes the menu choice disappears until the next time I start the car and use the phone., I had noticed the quirk, but ignored it. This time, out of curiosity, I pressed the menu and found choices for On, Off and Headphone. I pressed On, then Off - don't ask me why - and the phone hasn;t worked since. The phone screnn comes up normally, I can dial, scroll through the phone book, dial a call, etc. Everything seems normal but there is no sound on either end of the call. I've tried disconnecting the battery, unpairing and repairing the phone, but I still have no sound. Any ideas?

Ok, I disconnected the PSE, both the electrical and fiber, and put the shorting loop back in. I hooked the battery back up and drove it for a day. I did not get the ICE menu during this time. I then reconnected the PSE and the phone is working again. I still get the ICE menu after I use the phone, but I'm just going to leave it alone.
