124 LWB Super V8s were made for the world market in 2006 model year. I do not know how many came to the US.

These are the numbers I have for WORLDWIDE LWB SV8 production: (there were SWB models sold in EU only)

2003 1 car (awe)
2004 209 cars
2005 328 cars
2006 124 cars
2007 65 cars
2008 50 cars
2009 7 cars

I will contact my friend at the JLR archives and see if he has more details.

Jeff

145 - 2006 XJ Super V8 Portfolios were imported to the US. All were pre-sold before arrival.

Hmmm, I wonder if that's 145 Portfolios PLUS the 124 Super V8s in my numbers. I can't get more info because It seems the JLR Archive is shut down for now because my emails keep getting kicked back.

It must be an entirely different stat - PLUS the 124 regular Super V8s. However, there were more 2006s produced. In addition to the 145 pre-sold 2006 Super V8 Portfolios for the US market, several other countries received a few, including Canada. The 2006 Portfolio was a specific badge from the "concept" car which Jaguar debuted at the 2004-05 New York Auto Show. Somewhere, possibly here, there's a thread just on the subject of Portfolio production numbers. I'll see if I can find it.

The 2006 Portfolio badge is unique for Jaguar in another respect. For the US there were no options offered other than a choice of 2 exterior colors. If I recall the only Super V8 option it didn't have was a partial wood heated steering wheel. The Portfolio badge was used again in 2009, but at the time it was more an optioned out Super V8, with no unique features. The numbers that year were very low.

I contacted Fred Hammond at the Jaguar Archive and he told me there are no official statistics for the numbers and types of X350/358 XJ's imported into US. Ford was very tight lipped about this info during their ownership. We do know how many of each type were produced at the factory but we don't know where they went. He did say he would try to work from sales numbers and see what he could figure out but it would take some time.

Regards
Jeff

I know there are at least 2 MY 2007 Super V8's in the US. Mine which was sold in Massachusetts and moved to Utah via Arizona and California. There is a White one that I saw listed for sale in SoCal about a year ago.

All Supers were LWB only. That it why there is no information on SWB Supers, as they were never made. As you probably aware the Supers are super rare, only few hundreds made every year. I own a 2005.

In the UK they did make SWB Super V8's, mine is a 2004 ( UK ) as Jaguar did not add any LWB version of the x350 range until later into 2005 .
The SWB is very rare, not intending to part with mine anytime soon !
Not sure about exported cars to the US.

This is a LHD european 2005 super v8 swb, so probably rare then.
I`ve seen a few of them for sale in europe so its something you could order from Jaguar when new

Hi, I have a MY2007 Japanese import SWB Super V8 X358 and got the certificate from JLR Heritage to check. So the story is far from simple.
