Exclamation Super V8 Portfolio For Sale

Hey there XJ Mavens. Long time member who hasn't posted in quite a while here. I offloaded my XJR after recovering from a major illness. I am looking to get back in the game and have been following some notable cars. The selling dealer of this one just lowered the price $3,500, to $21,500, representing a rare opportunity to acquire a real hen's tooth and what I consider to be the Holy Grail of X350's, at a price that's just hard to believe for such a car.

I'm not ready to buy just yet, but I thought I'd bring it to the attention of some folks who would take proper care of her.

To be clear, this is not my car. I am not using the Forum to sell. I am informing the group of this rare opportunity because I care.

Nice car. I use NADA for pricing in value and NADA values the car @ $12,187. I input data into KBB and loaded this car with every option and called it excellent condition. KBB values it @ $12,700.

Beautiful car though, just not worth $21k (to me anyway)

Then make them an offer you think is a good value. Who knows, they might take it! That is, unless you're not actually a prospective buyer.

Na, I moved away from the SV8 some time ago and got out of sedans altogether. Happy with my XK, but if I were to look for one, I'd hold out for a rare color combo. Just trying to help those who are in the market. Some folks get frothy when shopping for these but truth is, they're a "niche within niche" market and almost every seller is delusional about their asking price, usually because of what they paid. That said, if you have the $ and want the toy, I say do it and don't look back!!

Wow. I didn't realize the proper value was so low. I thought $20k was a good deal.

Truly it is, that such pieces of automotive excellence are so undervalued. Well, one man's trash...

Everyone thinks I'm rich, driving my SV8. It doesn't occur to them that its over 12 years old, and not worth much if totaled. he, he!

I looked at that vehicle back in November of 2018. There was corrosion in various spots. The front bumper was resprayed. Headliner was falling down in the rear. Suspension looked as if it needed an overhaul.
