I need a new Supercharger Coolant Pump, C2C1314 since the water is leaking bad through mine.
Does anyone know if there are any alternatives to the OEM pump, which seems to be around 350 GBP.
I found this on Ebay : AVT 12v Bosch Supercharger Intercooler pump Jaguar XJR XKR Upgrade | eBay

I wonder if this is what is causing the coolant leak in my XJR. I noticed a strong coolant smell when I parked in the garage yesterday after driving through the mountains but didn't see any leaks from underneath the car. Today when I came back form work (I was driving my other car) I noticed a lot of red colored coolant on the garage floor.
I peeped into the engine compartment but really didn't the source of the leak.
Any ideas what else goes bad besides the Supercharger Coolant Pump?

I installed my upgraded intercooler pump yesterday along with new hoses.
I was pleased to find that my original connector fit perfectly and I did not need
the connector, with white wires, that came with it.
I did have to "modify" the pump rubber bracket to fit the larger pump. I simply cut one side of the thick band, fitted the new pump and then put a screw type clamp all the way around.

In researching water pumps on this forum there was quite a bit of confusion
over the years on what is on the XJR in the way of coolant pumps.
There are three, the mechanical coolant pump and then two electric pumps.
One electric pump for the intercooler which is situated 1/2 way down on the passenger side of the radiator, and an auxiliary electric pump for the cabin heating system at the very bottom of the passenger side of the radiator.
I replaced one hose to that cabin heater pump as well as the hoses to the intercooler pump.
Access to the cabin heater pump hose was thru the front behind the clip in panel by the fog light.

Well now I am thinking I got it wrong.
I think I upgraded my auxiliary pump and not the SC pump.
At least one post, apart from mine, places the SC pump above the auxiliary pump but many more seem to place it below the auxiliary pump.
Can anyone say definitively which is which on a 2005 XJR?
Also which pump is it that pumps coolant from the reservoir when the ignition is on but engine is not running.
On my car at least the pump located under the reservoir does this but at this point I do not know whether that is the auxiliary pump or the SC pump.

There are two pumps that I know people replace the existing SC coolant pump with. Mercedes enthusiast use the same units. One has a great capacity than the other
Pumps model numbers are the Bosch 0 392 022 010 or the Bosch 0 392 022 002. The OEM unit is a Hella, but I think is more expensive that the Bosch units
The 0 392 022 010 is a similar price but its performance characteristics are superior to the 0 392 022 002. Attached are the tech specs of both pumps
The connection sizes and dimensions are slightly different, see the attached. IIRC the hose connections on the 0 390 022 002 unit match the existing hose sizes exactly
I replaced my SC pump with the 0 32 022 002 unit as I was not aware of the other higher capacity unit at the time.
It's a while ago but I think I had to change the electrical socket to suit the Bosch pump.
I also had to modify the bracket arrangement very slightly (not a big problem) as the Bosch unit is larger than the existing Hella unit. It's a tight fit but it fits in the space OK.
