Default Supercharger Questions

I have been researching quite a bit on supercharger rebuilding and have not
found all the answers I need.

1. Do I have a gen5 V supercharger on my 2005 XJR (late 2004 build)?

2. If I do does it have the hole thru bearings in the back?

3. Are these easy to check for condition and repack or is it better to replace them?

4. Is there anything useful to be gained from porting on this model?

5. The rotors are teflon coated but is the chamber also coated?

I plan on replacing my valley hose so want to either rebuild the supercharger
myself or get it done somewhere.

I also want to put a 10% pulley on as well.

Default Found answers finally

I do.

It does.

3. Are these easy to check for condition and repack or is it better to replace them? I am going to replace them.

4. Is there anything useful to be gained from porting on this model?
Not as much as the Gen IV however I will never the less do it myself anyway.

5. The rotors are Teflon coated but is the chamber also coated?
Seems it is and since my unit does have feint score marks from
"processing" the loose Teflon scraps I will get both the rotors and
chamber re-coated with the compound that The High Speed Labs use.

I plan on sending my unit to The High Speed Lab to get the necessary work done.
I dont think they will fit a 10% pulley and if they will not I will do that myself.

There seem to be more positive notes than negative notes on this company in this forum.
