Default Supercharger removal - what can I clean?

I removed the supercharger on my 04 XJR to replace the coolant hose. Everything is pretty dirty after 103,000 miles. What can I safely clean? I know you're not supposed to clean the throttle body, so I just wiped it with a rag. What about the intake elbow and supercharger outlet pipe? Anything wrong with dunking them in the parts washer? Yes, I know the inlet elbow has the MAP sensor, and yes, I already broke it getting the connector off. A new one is on the way.

How about the supercharger itself? Carb cleaner and a stiff brush on the lobes?

I think the lobes have a special coating on them

Will mineral spirits hurt the teflon coating?

Don't know but they should not need cleaning as all the the air that passes through them is filtered

For the supercharger I disassembled it to rebuilt the bearings and change the pulley so only cleaned the lobes with a clean rag with a little machine oil on it and cleaned the inside of the body with some degreaser being careful not to get any in the needle bearings at the back of the case. The coating would probably come off with any kind of scrubbing/ solvent.

The intercoolers, thermostat housing, throttle body elbow and outlet duct all went into the parts washer @40C for an hour. I then painted all the parts up with Eastwood Aluma Blast.

Mine was all the same as yours, after 90 odd thousand miles it was all pretty black and oily wish I had some good pictures the throttle body elbow was the worst, just as an aside I did change all the gaskets and seals before putting it back together, the dis-assembly isn't something I want to repeat in a hurry...

I plan on doing the valley hose on my 2005 XJR sometime next year. I am considering sending the super charger off to get it rebuilt and ported and polished as well as an upgraded pulley.

I have read on this forum that just getting it ported and polished can gain some useful hp.

From what I've read the early Eaton blowers could be improved by porting, but not the ones on the X350.

Starting to put the car back together, but I discovered the EGR pipe is cracked at the flange so I'm waiting on a new one. I got everything cleaned up, but the parts that I think will really make a difference are the intercoolers. They were extremely gunked-up. I left them in the parts washer for a few days, and flushed them with water several times. Then I used about two cans of throttle body cleaner on each one before they started flushing fairly clean. I'm sure they were pretty restrictive, flow wise, and probably not doing much cooling either.

Your experience with the intercoolers is "interesting". Mine are probably as bad.
Is it possible to take them off without removing the whole supercharger?

I don't think so. You can't get to the bolts on the intake with the supercharger in place.
