so, I replaced the font some time ago at a dealership (expensive), now need one on the left rear.
1-I found the rebuilt units at Coventry, I think they are around 500 or so with core. does this sound about right?
2-How much labor is involved with this? Hour or cost estimate will be appreciated.
Interestingly, I found an independent shop in Columbia, SC and had them do some work They actually tried to charge me more than I was quoted at the Jag dealer quoted in another city (Hampton in Columbia I refuse to use due to "another lifetime" incident with their shop). This was discouraging, so therefore the question. What is the labor and how degree of difficulty? This car by the way has almost 200K on it, and I am afraid it may soon be a time bomb. It's a 2004 standard XJ8. i liked it so much I purchased another one as a replacement but with lower miles. Now it has just turned 100K, and after I burn this one down on the road, I'll try to find another one with about 50K on it as a replacement. I think this is the best cheap used car on the market.
