suspension conversion
#2
I just did a conversion on a 2008 Jaguar XJ (X350) V8-4.2L with the arnott coil over springs. front and rear. i installed the ecm on the wires as it said to. before i put the battery cables back on i removed the compressor. i should have left it alone. but i dont lnow if thats the problem seeing all the other people with the same issue,. so my question is the air suspension fault code is that from the compressor being gone or the firmware problem from the jag / arnott incompatabi
lity?

Hello uo-deus,
Welcome to the Jaguar Forums! It's great to have you with us.
First of all, please note that the forum asks that members do their best to use proper capitalization, punctuation and spelling to make posts easier to read. Otherwise our members, who are all volunteers busy with their own lives, may not bother to even try to decipher your posts. Also, please do not post in multiple threads or forums regarding the same issue - that is against forum rules. I have moved your post from another thread to here, so all the information about your issue will be in the same place so we can all see the full picture.
Regarding your air suspension, I have installed several of the Arnott kits but I can't recall ever disconnecting the compressor, so I don't know if that may be the cause of your warning lamps. The Arnott Electronic Bypass Module (EBM) is obviously designed to prevent air suspension warnings after the air springs/dampers are removed, but whether or not it will prevent the warnings if the air compressor is disconnected is a question best asked of Arnott. I have found their customer service to be excellent.
In the meantime, please visit the New Member Area - Intro a MUST and post a required introduction so we can learn something about you and your Jaguar and give you a proper welcome.
Cheers,
Don
