how much is it and how much are you looking to spend? Go with and XJ after 06' if you can.

...at least an 05, from my perspective. The 04s were very temperamental. My 05 has been great!

I just bought an 04' with 122k miles. From its maintenance records, it looks like a lot of the early x350 bugs were fixed under warranty. Many more items were replaced under an extended warranty. I've only owned it a couple of weeks, but so far so good. The only issue I had was with the air suspension. Everything else seems to be perfect. I love this car!

Check the maintenance history as much as you can.

One reason I went with an 04' (other than the condition of this car) was the price. Having passed the 10 year mark, the book value should be less than newer models.

Mines got 165,000 k,s on the clock
I have been to busy to drive it in the last 6 months took it out today for a big run

I am in love again some clowns on the motorway thought the speed limit was 70kmh so I decided to drive around them couple other drivers didn't like me doing that in the jaguar so I booted it up to 200kmh to pass them all did it with ease felt safe and surprised me a bit as well
You only live once they are finicky just need the right guy to work on them or be adept at doing your own work lots of guys do on this forum

Unfortunately I can't give you much help in the way of talking you out of it. We purchased an '05 VDP about 4 weeks ago and we love it. It is our first Jaguar and I'm impressed with this V8 and the car in general.

My 2003 X350 ( we had them a year earlier than you ) had just over 50000 miles when I bought it 7 1/2 years ago, it now has over 200000 miles and drives amazingly. I have had some issues over the years but really really pleased with it. It still drives so well.

And my UK-registered 2003 XJ6 bought at 30k in 2010 is now on 82k miles. A few issues over the four years, but we're off to Germany in it next week ! These cars will run the marathon, but do need meticulous maintenance. The editor of the magazine of the UK Jaguar Enthusiasts Club has same year as mine, (although a V8), and is now on 211k miles. He really doesn't know what he can buy to replace it, he loves it so much !
