Been gettin the coolant low message and temp needles been dipping down so i decided to replace the thermostat

Picked this unit up at rock auto , i am assuming this is a thermostat and housing ??Seems others are paying up over $100 ,even 169 for the thermostat and housing.

Or is this not the housing??

 

What year is your car, I bought the same one for my 2007 xj8 from rock auto and it is the incorrect part, they don't sell the correct one, Only place I can find one is at the dealership and they want over $120 Canadian,

How did you realize if it is correct so i could check mine?

I am sure yours will be like mine, the one in the photo has one large and one small outlet, ours has one large outlet, I was a bit shocked when I saw the price difference, typical jaguar,, lol

The rock auto thermostat and housing IS NOT the correct part. I went down this evening and popped the hood and it wasnt even close

And as previously stated , it does not fit an 07 either

Back to the drawing board

 

just saw the correct one on e bay, look under s type xj8 around $98 us,
