Anyone here using products from mongoose to check and program a 2004 XJ (X350) ?
I had several mails with good ADVICE from that company and am about to purchase a used tablet with sdd and ids v131 included and a New cāble .

I Hope I Can program my 53 reg XJ6 3.0 After engine ECU swapp due to flooded ecu in a carwash... (I found the threads about the front drains just After this.😁this.

any members bought from them ? how is the use ?

Be aware that the cable is a Chinese clone. They can be a problem when programming - they can brick a module. If you are going to try it you must have a constant source power supply - a battery charger will not do.

In between I had the ECU replaced and remapped "plug and play" by cartech electronics. They've done a great job ! I was a bit worried and wondering if the car would start and recover all the settings AND IT DID !

So now, I fitted and protected that replacement ECU and of course took extra care with the drains and all parts involved in an atempt to lead water somewhere else than into the engine ECU !
And I ordered a "tablet deal" with ids and sdd included from mongoose jlr.
It seems to be an original item from jlr workshop reconditionned.
the tablet itself is a panasonic rugged device. I hope it will do all expected checks and programmings on my 04 XJ and some landies arround here... I'll let you know.
