Throttle Body Plug

I had the motor plug on my throttle body crumble
Found a replacement without too much trouble but thought I'd post it to make it easier for others
What you need is Denso fuel injector plug
Most performance shops have these but you can also get them easily off ebay or from a Toyota dealer
There are 2 OEM versions types of these plugs
One has a high track and the other low
You need the low track type (farthest away from the retaining lug)
This lines up the notch on the motor plug
See here https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...3/#post1130236
The third type available is a universal plug that has notches for both, as seen in the plug in the link above
If your searching ebay search for "denso injector pigtail"
As a side note you can also remove the plug all together and use your own
In the same pic you can see the 3 square notches in the plastic cover
If you remove the torx screws you will see the top and bottom one are just regular blade connectors. The male being on the motor
You can drill out the square sections and insert regular blade connectors
IE connect directly to the motor and bypass the plug adapter built into the harness
Cheers

Old thread but I'll jump in anyway. The two wire female connector for the throttle body connector (which just crumbles after several thousand miles) disintegrates sooner or later.
Jaguar OEM part was $125. Ford wanted $55.
OEMpigtails.com wanted $17 shipped. Ta-da. The Ford/Motorcraft part # is WPT-1269. They have an eBay store front.
Pigtails on the female connector are about 8" long. I did not want to remove the wiring harness plastic protector so I cut the pigtails to a workable length and soldered the pigtails to the OEM female connectors.
Before I put the soldering iron to work, I slid a 4" piece of 3/8" piece of shrink over both pigtails. Then a 3/16" 3" length of shrink over EACH separate solder joint; once completed I slid the 3/8" shrink over the shrink covered soldered joints. Then used a couple of zip-ties to hold the two wire bundle in place.
If one is not comfortable with soldering the kit also includes two crimp connectors and two pieces of shrink. Just go your own way. Hope this helps. I bought two "it will work" female connectors with the lower slides and they did not fit.
As an interim fix I slid the two female connectors over the male pins on the throttle body motor connector then stuffed electricians putty in the cavity. Worked well for a jury-rigged fix. WPT-1269 from eBay saved what's left of my sanity.
