Default Tip In Throttle Spark Knock is "Normal"???

Car is 10 months old and 10K miles on it. Knock started at 6 month and 6k. Service manager rode with me and heard the noise. He downloaded all the ECM codes and sent to Jag and they replied that no adjustment could be made. Service manager said that with this model he can't make adjustments and that "Tip In Throttle Spark Knock" is just something that happens with some Jags and it can't be fixed. He also said he checked all fuel trims with IDS and nothing is abnormal. I already use best gasoline. He suggested adding Octane booster on top of that. Not real pleased that a car of this class makes a knocking noise that can't be fixed. Thoughts?

Knock is not normal and these cars are not known for it. Get to a dealer that knows how the car works, you are not there yet. You could have a sensor out of range or a bad harness on a sensor.
