Default Tire Pressure Monitor System - TPMS

Has anyone had their wheel valve stem break off when putting the cap back on? This morning is the second time this has happened to me in the last couple of months.

I know there are tons of posts on here about TPMS but I could not find if it matters what MHZ signal the replacement sensor is using 433 MHZ or 315 MHZ or does it even matter?
