Default Tire Pressure System Fault

The tire pressure system fault stays lit on my car.

Where do I start on trying to fix this?

Do to corona and being furloughed I have decide to sell this car. I would like to try and sell it, without and error message on, not to mention you can’t see the mileage when this light is on.

Thank you!

2008 Jaguar XJ8 L, approx 55,000 miles

Replace the faulty wheel sensor would be my guess, with the information you provided

My first guess is a tire that's is 5 psi lower than the other 3. If all tires are good have a shop reset the the sensors.

toyman1001 is right to check tire presser.
Just figured that was already checked.

Can also be the spare. If your spare is low or the sensor is missing this will pop up.

Are you sure about the spare being monitored?

The spare is monitored but if it doesn't have a pressure sensor (eg it's a 'skinny' spare, or the spare's actually missing) the system works that out, so if it has a sensor and the pressure is low it will give an alarm ... but it won't indicate a missing sensor because it assumes the spare doesn't have one.

Oh, and as far as I know there's no 'reset procedure' for sensors ... you just pump the tyres up to the right pressure.
