Default Tire Stud and Lug Nut

One of the studs needed to be broken in order to take the wheel off but now the dealer in Richmond says I can't order the stud it self, I have to buy the whole hub, it's frustrating because they said if I can find the stud and the lug nut I should be able to replace it, so I'm frustrated, I need the stud and the lug nut asap with two front shocks and I really can't drive to Richmond, I already have people who could replace those parts for me but I can't gather the parts

Is it the stud that is the problem or the lug nut? If it is the lug nut, then the workshop should be able to cut open the lug nut and extract the nut without damaging the stud (don't ask me how I know it can be done....)

My workshop originally thought that the lug nut was cross threaded resulting in the problem of it not being able to come off, but after reading about the lug nut issues on this forum, I managed to convince them to hack apart the nut and not the hub to remove the wheel, and they managed it. I now have a set of "LA wheel and tyre" lug nuts for the Jag that I hope will never give me the same problem again.

Thanks Regent I need them too, but did not like the silly dealer prices.
By the way, do you know of another source for the wheel paint, I think it is called "Bright Sparkle" touch up and that is silly money at the dealer.
Thanks

Default touch up paint

I just searched ebay for Jaguar wheel touch up paint and a seller there was doing tiny bottles of the special metallic silver for a few pounds, I got it and was very pleased with the match.
Alloy wheel touch up paint for Jaguar X type,S type,XK | eBay

I know they are in the Uk but they may send overseas if you contact them.
Best of luck.

For touch up paints , Touch Up Paint from PaintScratch.com . You can also find your car's paint code thru this site . BTW , I highly recommend our vendors , yup they're dealers but they give you a remarkable discount since you're a Jaguar Forums member
