Trans oil 3,5/4,2?
I have tried searchning the forum for the name of this oil but can not find it!
Here in Sweden I have to buy from Jaguar and they charge me 100USD/litre!!!
It comes in Jaguar bottles and says "made to Jaguar specification in Germany" on the bottle. The Jag number is: C2C8432. Does anyone know what oil this is?
I suppose it´s not the same as the older transmission and the ESSO/MOBIL 71141?
Thanks!

ZF LifeGuard 6 is available here in the US for the ZF 6HP26
6 Speed Transmission Fluid
You should be able to find it closer to you.
ESSO 71141 is for the ZF 5HP24 (earlier gearbox)

I found this on another forum. Anyone tried it?
"There are so many misunderstandings about the ATF for the ZF 6HP26 it is unbelievable. If you go to the Jag dealership parts department and ask for ATF for a 2004 S type R like I did, the clerk will trot out a bottle of something that looks like lemon cough syrup with an ink jet Jaguar label on the bottle (also saying "mineral oil") for $75 or so a liter. DON'T BUY IT. I used Pentosin ATF1. Pentosin is presently on sale at partsquick.com for $9.50 a liter and is the same fluid ZF uses in their rebuilt units. I have had Pentosin ATF1 in my S type R now for several thousand miles and it has totally transformed the car. The 6HP26 shifts cleaner, quicker, smoother, and quieter than whatever Jag had in there, and I have no other agenda than to pass on my own experience to others.
