Been using the SDD and over 7000 page Shop manual.
I ran this test jgate pin out test early in the process and am back at this as this is the one test I have mentioned in this post as the only one I have questions on as all the other tests have passed.
01/22/23 ran SDD and a jgate connector pin 1voltage check
SDD says some modules offline and first two picks are showing which ones.
pin 1 volate was at 20mV and Shop manual test of Jgate tells me to repair the circuit between jgate connector CA245 pin 1 and the rear power distribution box. note this circuit incorporates the ignition switch and the primary junction box. For additonal information refer to the vehicle wiring diagrams.
Questions I am working on and appreciate comments on the next step.
-it is CA245 the green connector, correct
-is the rear power fuse the large fuse box in trcuk at rear most near bumper. which is no 3?
-which is primary junction box
what steps (parts R&R )would you do next?

As OldKarz says, your voltage dropped off during the test.
Yep, soooo that is exactly what happens using a battery maintainer or battery charger that is not designed to maintain a constant voltage at 13.8 vdc at diagnostic currents that can exceed 20 amps DC.
Chargers and maintainers adjust the voltage during the cycles and at battery full charge will drop the VDC to about 12.6 VDC or even zero / off if the battery is full charged. Don't believe me? Put a DVM on your charger or maintainer and over a typical charge/maintain cycle you will see the charge cycles working and varying the voltages.
Don't be fooled by commercial chargers with high cranking amps, they are only big because they produce more amperes through a larger transformer, unless they have a very specific feature to set AND HOLD a constant output voltage of 13.8 VDC.
To properly diagnose all the modules on all the Networks, the voltage on the system busses must remain stabile at no less than 13.25 VDC MINIMUM.
The LAST thing you want is your power buss voltage to drop to battery voltage during programming/copmmissioning of a module, that is called "making a brick".![Icon Bricks](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_bricks.gif)
A 45 amp DC power supply is like $25 USD throuh Amazon, plus sacrificing a set of cheap $10 USD jumper cables from Harbor freight for wire and clamps, so why risk making a brick of a module that is worth $100 used or $1000 new?

PARTS and work TO ADD:
- A pair of battery post spring clamps from your local car parts store like used on a standard battery charger for about $5 and enough wiring to make up a 40 amp attachment cable that can handle the 40 amps between the power supply and the battery,
- or sacrifice a cheap set of jumper cables for $10-$15 using the end set with the battery post clamps and the other end cut the clamps off, strip for attachment to the power supply screw terminals; For that you will need some crimp lugs to separate and the attach the stranded wire to the three + screw terminals and the three - terminals. I used three #16 AWG wires because I have spools of the stuff for my work, three wires for the +12 connection and three of the same gauge wires for the -12 connection wrapped together the full length with electrical tape to make a flexible cable so I could attach to the three positive screws and the three negative screws with some crimp connectors, and crimped the three + wires together to the RED battery spring clamp and the three - wires together to the Black spring clamp. Doubtful you will ever pull 40 amps running diagnostics, but I have seen up to 15 amps draw during diagnostics. My cable will handle 3x17 amps for 51 amps draw as a margin of safety.
- and a power cord which I used a three wire cable used from a old power strip and cut one end off, or buy a cheap 6 foot extension cord and cut one end off, strip and wire with crimp lugs to the 120VAC L-N-G points
- Any Digital Multimeter to check the power supply VDC and a small flat blade screwdriver to adjust the voltage to >13.8 VDC
For all the diagnostics OTHER THAN continuous STARTING, this setup works as per the Factory Manuals.
I am quite sure there will be a lot of other opinions and methods.
