I don't think there's such a history but you can Search and read to make sure.
I think your car will (should!) have 2 bolts holding the shifter cable to the trans side. Check they're present and not loose.
Beyond that... check fluid level / change fluid.
But before that check your fuel trims are sane. Even "minor" engine faults can upset the gear changes and thus the trans.
