I am getting slight wind noise from the drivers side of vehicle and it looks to be coming from the trim below the mirror. The trim looks to be slightly coming detached from the body. Does anyone have any experience clipping this trim piece back in correctly or will I need to replace?
Thanks.
Drivers side. Looks to be loose in the front portion.
Passenger side. Looks to be correctly installed and sitting flush/tight to the body.
You will need to remove the mirror to reseat or replace the trim. Make sure you are sitting down if you go for replace.
I have had all mine off because the rubbers seem to shrink with age and I moved them about to get a best fit. The weather strip trim does come apart so you can get it all cleaned up. They are just a push fit on the lip on the door skin, a tight push fit though.

Hi Joe,
Thanks for the reply. I tried to look a bit closer today. The trim piece will sit on top of the sheetmetal circled in red below? I am very surprised there is not a clip holding it in place.
