Default Tuning Questions with 2.6 Kenne BEll Big Bore

Hey Guys,

Had a baby and a slew of xjr related issues made me put the Kenne Bell project on hold. But Im getting ready to start this up again(along with my xkr project)

I had bought an abaco MAF to tweak the transfer function for the large injectors however I know people were starting to play around with tuning last I checked. What Id really like to do is have a nice intake tube made with a slot style MAF....If this can be accommodated. How far along have we gotten with being able to tune? Ive tuned my own vehicles using SCT software for my fords and a Megasquirt III setup "race car" but unsure I want to tackle the mysterious Jag (which I have no equipment or software to do so with).

The only real mods I have is the 2.6 TS, bored TB and backhalf exhaust. I do plan on replacing the front half and cats as well as converting to a tractionloc rear and perhaps gears as I recall someone being able to account for that in a tune now. Any help would be appreciated. Who to talk to etc...Ideas

Thanks!

The above thread is quite interesting but somewhat disappointing with regards to pre 2006 XJRs.

It will give you a good idea of what Cambo was doing with regards to software tuning.

I am currently working on a crossover pipe with resonator delete.

Did you happen to run the 02 extenders? I saw your issues with the mini cats or not

No extenders. My O2 sensors are a direct fit. No issues at all. With the "mini cats" the smoke, under full throttle, was pretty bad.
