I put the car on stands so the wheels are off the ground. I started the car and went through the gears. And no matter what gear I put it in the wheels went forward. Even in R the went forward. N wheels went forward D wheels don’t move. P
it gose into park but it seems like it’s halfway in the P cause I tried to rev up the motor put it hesitates. Like if you were in drive and trying to rev up the motor with your foot on the brakes. Confused
I followed the advice of two members and drained the fluid from the transmission . The fluid smelled like burnt . Now I was curious . So I pulled the filter pan.
Definitely there is something major going on in the transmission.
I found fine metal shavings at the bottom. I’m not sure from what.
At this point would it be better if I just start to remove the donor transmission ?
I wanna start with the donor car is because I never owned a Jaguar or even worked on one. So its also a learning car.
Same model year.
