Valley Hose Replacement - Reassembly

Valley Hose Replacement - Reassembly
I am reassembling after replacing the valley hoses on a 2008 XJ Super V8. I didn't start taking picture early enough in the teardown and am having difficulty determining which hose goes where.
There are 2 hoses that provide cooling to the throttle body and the EGR valve. from the front of the engine and a small hose that connects the TB to the EGR.
One hose runs from the centre of valley back behind the wiring harness on the drivers side. The second hose runs from the Thermostat rail on the passenger side. What I need to know is which hose connects to the TB and which connects to the EGR. The drivers side seems to work well connected to the EGR but the passenger side hose tends to kink when connected to the throttle body. I reversed them and the passenger side hose connects to the EGR without the kink but the drivers side hose is just a little short to connect to the throttle body. Does anyone have the correct routing?

Been a while since I did mine on the STR (getting ready to do it on my SV8 too) but if I recall correctly, the hose that goes from the center of the valley (the one that fails) to the drivers side then wraps around behind everything connects to the TB, then that little one goes from the TB to the EGR (as you know), and lastly, that long thin ones goes from the EGR to the rail. I'm sure a good search on here and the S-type section (STR has same setup) will provide conformation, or correction, to this. When I did mine as soon as I took the old hoses off I put the new ones on, so I wouldn't forget! I tend think I will remember where everything goes, then when I put it back together, I usually have a few nuts and bolts left over. (Nothing has fallen of yet!)

Thanks for the confirmation WINTERJAG. After taking a deep breath and trying a number of combinations I realized I routed the drivers side hose under the wiring raceway at the back of the engine instead of over it. This detour resulted in the drivers side hose being just a little too short. I had even labelled the hoses upon removal but I thought I must have made a mistake and didn't believe the label. Once I re-routed the hose everything lined up and I was able to connect all the hoses. I reassembled and filled it up with coolant, I ended up with a constant drip on the passenger side at the bell housing.
I used my inspection camera and found the one frigging hose I didn't replace was leaking, the TB to EGR hose. The Jag dealer I bought the parts from ordered it twice but both time the part was different. So I figured what the hell I'll just use the original one.
Knowing where everything is makes it a lot easier to navigate with the fiber optic camera, at the start of this job it was hard to tell what was what.
The thread with all the pictures helped as well. I have been searching and did not stumble on to this one to thanks GM-JIM
Now I just have to get the correct part and install it. Getting it out took about 5 minutes now that I have "lived in the valley" for the last month.
I attached a picture of the hose the dealer hasn't been able to match up.

No problem Rick! As for that hose, I seem to recall when I did the STR (again, been a while so my brain could be forgetting) that the little hose was different than the one you showed. I keep thinking about it and I keep seeing a U shaped hose. Could be wrong, but that's what I remember. Maybe it's different on the XJ's than the S-types.
Now here is where it gets interesting. In JEPC, it lists AJ88548 for cars with VIN G49701-H11536 (basically 05-06 I think) and AJ811758 for before and after those VIN's. But, my car is an 05 with a VIN before G49701, suggesting Jag made some kind of change mid year (what a surprise). So, based on this info, we should both need AJ811758 (as do all STR's hence my U-shaped hose memory). HOWEVER, I managed to find some pics of both parts (attached). It appears that the hose you show is AJ88548, but based on VIN it should be AJ811758! I thought all these cars had the exact same engine so go figure. Maybe it's just Jag's wonderful parts people at play again. My two cents, both will work as long as they fit, it's just a hose.
Anyone else feel free to chime in with any info that may clarify this. I'll need this part soon too!

Just to echo the above, when I did mine the above hose, was the one which failed, it had been rubbing on the plug for the fuel rail pressure sensor plug... Which is why I think Jaguar have superseded the longer hose for the shorter one.
New Vs Old:
The two hoses held in the same orientation to show the different layout:
All that work to get to this:
And whilst I was there I changed every hose I could find!!

08 super v8 drip too
I have had my share of coolant drips. I was able to replace a few o-rings on the quick connects. Now, there is water in the valley and when I jacked the car up from the pass side, to change the alternator , I had a constant stream of water running down drivers side of motor. I am losing about a gallon every 30-40 miles now.
Does this sound like the valley hose? or can it be the EGR hose you are speaking of? I do not have a drip at the back of motor, or any visible leak, it just always smells like coolant and the reservoir seems to be very thirsty.
I've never had a car with so many screwy hoses and connections before.
