Hi, all, so I'm striking out in the manual for the correct valve lash. I can find the exact spec for the 4.0L x308 supercharged engine, but I can't locate it for the 4.2. I have found a random internet reference to it, but it's not an official Jaguar source and I don't know how credible it is. Can anyone direct me to the correct Jaguar reference for the valve lash / valve clearance numbers for the intake and exhaust valves? I dropped the heads off at the machine shop this morning... but need to tell them the valve specs of course.

So... while I cannot find valve clearances for the 4.2L supercharged Jaguar motor in the X350 manuals, the manual for the 2006 Range Rover Sport, 4.2L Supercharged does have the valve clearances, which are:

• Intake: 0.18 to 0.22mm
• Exhaust: 0.23 to 0.27mm

Which appear to be the same specs as what's listed in the engine manuals for the 4.0L motor.
