Searching this forum, I did not see any posts on this. When did ventilated front seats first appear as an option on the 2004+ Vanden Plas? Also, do they work well or are they a waste of money?

I believe ventilated seats were introdced in the 2008 XJ lineup for US.

 

2008 in northamerica . Works great . Amazing in the summer . Keeps you nice and cold . And can go freezing to hot. In a minute or 2 . They can be a bit noisy but are a really good option . Way better then conventional heated seats

 

Got' em in my XJ8L and love em.On low speed they are not too noisy and ventilate very well. I am 99% sure 08 was 1st year.

08 was in fact the first year anywhere. I have them on the 745 and they work great on summer days when the car has been in the sun or if youre just hot from being outside (live in FL or visit in summer and you will know what i mean lol) If I was getting an 08 it would def have them!
