Default Waistline chrome door trim - securing method

Hi
Does anybody know what method is used to secure the chrome trims on the doors ? On my front passenger side door trim it is loose towards the rear and bending upwards slightly. If I press it down, it just springs back up. I would hope to avoid buying a new one.

Just looked at the trim piece I replaced on the rear door and it has non replaceable clips built into the underside of the strip. The clip at the front end has a little leg that hangs down to catch on the edge of the door,The rear end has just a female type clip that would catch on the edge of the door.I would think the front door trim is similar. You may be able to lift the rear end of the trim and put some duct tape on the metal edge of the door so it creates a tighter fit where the clip makes contact.Sounds like the clip has weakened or cracked so its not grabbing and holding the edge of the door .
