Warranty problem with Jaguar - are bushings cosmetic?

Spoke with another Jaguar tech at another facility and shared the pics. He said unless the components are loose enough to move by hand, they are probably right. He said the bushings covers look like that all of time and the fluid leaked out should not have any impact on how the bushings function.
How long will the bushings last in this state before they fail completely enough to replace? Going to meet with dealer in the morning to discuss.

The unfortunate thing about these bushes is that they are "consumables", in other words they are expected to eventually wear out and need replacing like tyre and brake pads. The so-called "fair wear and tear" happens, except that in my experience, wear and tear in many of these bushes is unfair, because many of the bushes do not really last as long as one would expect them to.
From my own experience the short life bushes are: -
- all lower air spring/shock unit bushes. These four together take the weight of the car, so perhaps not surprising.
- rear lower wishbone bushes (except the "silentbloc" one).
- rear anti-rollbar link
- rear track control arm ball joint. (sometimes called the stabilising link)
With some of these the issue is the cost of the replacement parts, with others the labour charges to swap out.

From the S Type section, here is what I know. A couple of guys there had theirs replaced through warranty.
