Default Water Inside Door! 2007 XJ TDvi.

I have water in the bottom of my drivers door (Right hand door)!!
Not entirely sure where it comes from as there is no sign that is is coming from around the window... I can only imagine that it must be though.

I have pulled a clip out of the door rubber thinking that the water would simply drain out but it hasn't... it sort of comes out but not exactly quickly and not completely either!
Has anybody else had this and if so is there a neat trick to draining it as it makes a rather annoying 'slushing' noise when in slow traffic!!!!!

Check the door drain holes. All car doors have them. After many years dust turns to mud and can plug them. Best way is to remove the door card, and clean the crud out. I've seen Land Rover doors rot out from the inside out from this.
The water seeps down past the old rubber/felt window seal. This is not an issue if the drains are clear.

The drain lines for the X350 doors consist of a couple small slots on the bottom of the door just to the outside edge of the weather stripping. Just stick a piece a wire in the slot, and slide back and forth to clear the clogs. Do so with all four doors. They drain quite quickly once cleared.

Oh crap I misread the OP's post. Sorry Martin. Thanks Mark. I was thinking driver's side footwell. I agree it's better to remove the door card and clean out the crud. You can stick a wire in there but you could just be shifting the crud and it will eventually block the drain holes again.

I wonder if it's a design issue since I recently had the same problem with the right front door. I started hearing the sloshing sound but I couldn't locate it initially. For a while I thought it was my spare can of anti-freeze, but when I finally opened the door I heard the sloshing sound. I peeled back some weather stripping and all the water drained out.

Make sure the rubber seal lines up with the hole in the bottom of door
