What A Car!
I've finally bitten the bullet, said goodbye to my much loved S-type and upgraded to a 4.2 XJR.
This car is just unbelievable, the performance is amazing, the ride is superb, more room, more toys, if this is how good motoring can be, the planet can go to hell, I'm gonna luv warming it up!
Just a little peek;

Djdex-- Buy the way, judging by the picture, you got the best set of standard wheels avail for that series of cars.i.e. the "performance" 19' wheels. Don't let anybody talk you out of them for some cheezy aftermkt. chrome rims. They only cheepen the car and lighten your pocket book.

You see the difference a lighter car makes, (aluminium body as well as the engine)..
I am seriously considering the XJ6 version with the 3 litre V6 - you can get over 30 mpg on a run and now it is 112p a litre, these things count ! I have seen some nice ones under £10,000 and low miles too.

Nice video's TZ04XJR ! :-)
My 4.2 XJR is 400bhp as u102768 shows, the 4.2 XJ8 is 300bhp (I do believe the 4.0 XJ8 is 280bhp), making the s/c 4.2 version a cool 100bhp more, on paper that 's about a second and a half to 60mph. But it's not just the figures, it's how it's delivered, I can't even hear the charger at low revs even tho it is runnning, but when the engine starts to roar and the charger whine starts to become loud, you're running out of road before you're running out of acceleration........and I LOVE it!
