Finally got the rear uppers & lowers replaced on the 04, did the 07's in January.
They were in worse shape than the 04's were.
They both needed them replaced, both with over a hundred thousand miles
Can't get it aligned till Thursday when i called this morning.
Glad i have two, one to drive while fixing the other.
Starting to look like i might finally be getting caught up.
For anyone curious about the lower rears.
The 04 Lincoln LS arms, fit the 04, but the hub bushing opening is smaller on the 07.
Had to get Lemforder's to fit the 07's hubs properly without modifying them.

Default Wish I could go for a drive

Covered the car in its outside cover after the wind had done its worst.
Waiting for the virus threat to reduce then we can go out, have to take our own refreshments as all pubs, clubs and cafes are going to be shut for another month or so at least...........

Had a Viezu tune installed, limiter removed too. Car pulls harder and has quicker response, S/C whine louder too.

Installed the RR upper air intake in car today.

I cut off the rear three fins etc and painted it before installing along with the water/meth nozzle.

I saw that however I paid $75 including shipping. However tax on top of that so $79.50 total.

I did some basic measurements comparing my original with the RR intake.

The inlet opening is significantly bigger than my original and there is no elongated upwards bulge in the interior as there is in my original.

Also the narrowest part of my original is wider than the RR.

Originally I did not like the ribbing however I have changed my mind and do like it now.

I've had mine for quite a while, I just bought the coupler and I plan to install this weekend.

Default Plugs, Ignition Coils, and more changed

Hi guys ....well, compared to many here, my activity is pretty sedate. But I haven't changed plugs in over 10 years on any car, let alone ever changed ignition coils. In fact, owning this first ever Jaguar VDP has brought out the DIY mechanic in me. I'm not tearing apart the engine, though! :-) Anyway...I changed out the plugs and ignition coils today; tomorrow I'll tackle the driver side. I also replaced the bonnet liner, driver side entry seal and trunk seal. Reconnecting the battery, I was greeted with a yellow light and "Apply Parking Brake" error. Searching on the forum.... I think I can remedy that by following the JTB00084 Bulletin. I hope.

Default Now It Growls

Fed up with the quaint American habit where pedestrians love walking behind cars when they are reversing.....I got rid of the reverse warning alarm ......which incidentally played Home On The Range .......and noticing that my reverse beep beep in my work van is completely ignored as well .........
I installed a little devise that lets out an incredibly loud growl .........sounds just like a big cat growling (mountain lion).........and it’s loud .

Now , it scares the crap out of anyone who is about to emerge from that big *** SUV that always seem to park next to me ......

So now my Jag sounds like a pissed off mountain lion .....

The Jaguar siren wasn’t as scarey as the Mountsin Lion
cool as ......well you know what .....

I changed out my windshield washer fluid reservoir. Old one had a hairline crack half way up that I couldn't seal off.

What a PITA. Front valiance, rim and RT inner fender shield all needed to be removed.

Had to give some "wiggle room" to get the top neck back into the engine bay by removing the mount for the abs assembly bracket and bolts for front fuse distribution box.

Ran the rubber hose straight to the pump as the 90 degree fitting for some reason leaked when connected to the new pump.

And, note to self. Make sure fluid low switch is orientated properly. Had a "low fluid" warning. Thought the switch was bad. It was 180 degrees off.. lol...

All in all got it done.

Now, my wife won't complain about not having windshield washer fluid.

Now, brakes are next!
