Well, I really did a lot of work alongside with my dad on our Jag for the past few days
Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday: Car wash+ exterior detailing + interior cleanup (really worth it haha).
Sunday: Belt tensioner replaced (now the car no longer squeal anymore when cold starting it up).
The car is really getting better as the time goes by, which is something we're proud and happy of.

Default Remote Starter

Installed remote starter with iDatalink as immobilizer bypass (set to S Type as XJ is not listed - so it is confirmed they both use same PATS protocol). Had a Fortin as
backup which lists XJ as supported, but not needed.
Quite easy and works perfectly.
If anyone interested let me know and will create a guide.
Can start the car both from the compustar remote or from the App (with Drone mobile).
I used the Firstech CMX with Blade AL but mos Firstech brains will work.
Next step is connecting lock/unlock wires to use a single remote for starting and keyless entry.

Welp, I decided to floor the Jag at a red light today, and holy moly, it sent everything to the back.
Now that's one wild cat .

Also, I've discovered that the clockspring is broken, because the horn wouldn't work, and the airbag light lit up shortly after that, so yeah, another "to-do in the weekend" thing added to the list.

Talking Jaguar Jaguar England England

Well, I've taken the Jag for a 2 hours long drive today through the cities and highway (which wasn't really a lovely experience since there was so much traffic), and it ran super quiet, which really boost my confidence that it won't broke down, and I can take it to road trips in the future.

I bought a rebuild lit and look forward to renewing soon. Expect it to get rid of my suspension fault message! I like what I see in your pic.

Wink Laundry List of issues, Caveats and easy buttons welcomed

So in the past weeks a number of things started popping up at 80K miles forcing me to get my 2000 X308 alternator job done, use the TR250 as a driver for a while ( oh the PAIN ), and work on the 2005 X350.

And just in time too as I have my Toughbook back from a few important upgrades (bios unlock) to allow the VM's to work properly, the 2005 X350 is now on my lift for complete IDS/SDD diagnostics, rebuild the intake plenum, replacing all the glued-on fuel injector electrical connectors, locating and cleaning all the grounds and replacing any broken ground studs, making all the communication busses work reliably, reflashing corrupted modules, oil and filter change, full brake job including fluid flush, fix the ABS fault, probably rebuild the suspension air compressor, reset the headliner - while troubleshooting an intermittent passenger seat airbag fault, fix the driver seat heater, diagnose the loss of sound from all but one speaker (front-right) in the audio system, feed the hydes, polish the haze off the headlights, give the paint a polish and wax, polish the wheels. Oh and probably the upper and lower ball joints and tie rod ends and probably new transmission filter and fluid.

Now that is a list.

ALL Caveats and easy buttons welcomed!

I hope to get it all done before the next iceage sets in. Let the fun begin!

Gee, what would a dealer charge me for all that? I'd bet easily upwards of $15k or more?

Default Almost tediously reliable

At 156,000 miles, mine continues to ask nothing more than fuel, servicing and new rear tyres. All I have to do to it regularly is drive it,

change form Winter wheels to Summer, and back again, and very occasionally wash it.

The best car I have ever owned.

I changed my oil! I am running AMS oil long life Signature Series 5W-30 Synthetic with a Royal Purple long life filter. Royal purple was the only brand I could find that made a good long life filter. Seems to be working very well for me.

10k mile / 1 year oil changes makes it nice.

Did a whole lot recently!

All fluid changed, spark plug changed with ones from Denso, and a valve cover gasket job (which was less of a nightmare than installing the mechatronic seal haha).

And today, the Jag gets some new shoes from BFGoodrich (found them to be a pretty good deal with high mileage warranty than Michelin).

Next up: undertray patching job due to one of the corner breaking, wheel alignment, fuel filter change and putting some clips and nooks back on.

Ooh, shiny!

I got a bit of my dad in me whenever I change the oil, down to the last drop

A chance of finding an easy way to bleed the cooling system?

Getting ready to go under the car for the tranny oil change job. My body still sore days later...

The Jag is getting new shoes from BFGoodrich! A long two hour wait at Costco, but nothing a hot dog and soda can fix ya!

Recently I did new Air Springs all around. Changed all of the coolant hoses and coolant. Changed the supercharger oil and cleaned the rotors. Did some detailing on the radiators while the bumper cover was off. Cleaned a detailed the headlights and detailed behind them. Now my wife’s X250 wants similar treatment. Ugg
