Default What To Do With Bent Wheels...

What is the best/good after-market wheels for a 2006 XJ Super 8 Portfolio - 255/35ZR20 (low profile)? The original four wheels on the car have three bent rims, but the spare is good. Or, is there a good place to buy refurbished wheels? Jaguar wants $2,100 for one new rim <grin> Are wheels all alike and any wheel will do, because I see painted, chrome, etc. wheels ranging from $150 - $2,000? I am looking at straighting the bent wheels, but can’t find a place close to me- maybe this is the way to go? The original wheels are, Callisto Cast Alloy 8x20... I would like to keep this car as original or original looking as possible. Any advise will be appreciated :-)

If you know the name of the wheel, try searching the internet. Something like "buy Jaguar <wheelname> wheels". It found the 17" Elegant wheels I just fitted a couple of weeks ago.

BTW 20" wheels are the worst for buckles, dents, and curbing, and ride quality. Better to fit smaller wheels like I have. Of course you may have wonderful billiard-table surfaced roads in Cape Cod !

20" Callisto's are really worth being repaired.
Actually, I believe they are not cast but forged.
This is what is indicated in the official Jaguar specs registered for my car. You also see grooves on the surface of the material, probably produced during the machining of the preformed blank.

Once I measured the weight of one Callisto to be only 10.5 kg, which is extremely low for a 20x9J rim.
Unfortunately however, this (as well as maybe not a mechanically optimised design) is maybe a cause of the flats that may be produced by potholes...
