Default What LEDs for low beams instead of halogens

For all of you with halogen headlights on low beams, any of you has tried a LED bulb yet?
I'm keen for options, as I find the lack of HID annoying, I drive quite a lot at night, and as far as I've understood getting OEM HID headlights is quite prohibitive, and I'd like to get away from the aftermarket ones, with drilling covers, external ballasts and others.

Easier just to use a brighter bulb. You'll get the right beam patten, too.

Agree with JagV8 here. I tried to swap my Halogens for LED and one of the bulbs would stay on and the other went off but flashed every few minutes, even after you have switched the car off and locked it, so I don't think they can be easily swapped. I too wanted to do this so that I could have brighter lights but I've just purchased better and brighter bulbs instead.

I've fitted Osram Nightbreaker bulbs as an upgrade to normal Halogens and they make a big difference

The car has already Sylvania Silverstars, and the lens have been properly polished and clear coated, but it’s still not enough for me. I haven’t had a car without xenon for at least 12 years (I’ve installed HIDs even on the Yaris), so I just feel I’m always driving with the candle when driving the jag.
Well, if we have no good LED option, than I’ll get another HID kit, and that’s it. Man, but I so much hate cutting holes in the covers again...it’s just not...nice.
