This was in the pocket of one of the doors. I don't recall what it belongs to on the car ... where it goes ... anything. It's not large - 3.25" across at the widest spot and 2" tall. Any help would be appreciated.
Any idea what the actual name for this part is? I only have one of them (the one in the photo) and I'd like to try to get replacements, if possible. I've tried various searches, but I'm coming up empty so far ...
Just took a quick look under the hood of my 2005 and see no sign there was foam glued to the hood or engine panels. Wonder if this is a per model add on for luxury...or added on some years?

Where mine was, there is no evidence that anything was ever there ... no glue residue, etc. So, perhaps yours had fallen off a while back ... maybe before you ever got the car?
I've had my hood opened and closed a lot over the past few years and, to be frank, I've not noticed that I needed these installed. Even so, if they came with the car, I'd like to have them, if possible.
On my car there was one missing, so I have bought them but was not yet able to replace them. What I have noticed is that at high speeds (and here in Germany I can often travel above >160 kmh up to top speed), the bonnet starts to flutter or wobble. After having set the bonnet locks correctly it became less and more in the area where these foam parts should be, so I hope that replacing them might cure things further.
I've not had this experience and I've had my Jag up to 100 MPH (160 kmh) at one point. Typically, I am travelling at 60-70 MPH (95+ - 110+ kmh) with no shutter or wobble from my hood.
