Default Whats this about mounting new tires?

From the handbook:

"to only use
equipment with spigot or stud hole
clamping. The equipment must not have
any moving parts which contact the
wheel, and tyre levers must not be used."

No moving parts which touch the wheel? I don't believe I have never seen such a machine. Are they common? Or can I have a typical tire shop do the work as long as they don't use tire irons (levers)?

yes most modern tyre fitting machines use no contact to the face of the rim .
here is a pic , the tyre leaver if used is levered over the steel horn rather than the rim face .

Thanks Datsports, that is the type machine my local tire shop uses, I didn't realize it was a no contact machine. That's good, I thought I was going to be looking all over for a special machine to mount my new tires.
