Lost one of the wheel hub caps on my XJR. The part number is C2C11667. Unfortunately the part is discontinued and replaced by C2C30080. However, they look slightly different. It’s a pity to replace them all, do you know whether it’s possible to order the old ones?
Plenty on eBay, and not really any point in trying to find genuine Jaguar as the after-market ones are so cheap. Of course they don't last as long, but are cheap enough to replace when they get pitted.
Men88, from what I can gather your photo shows a growler badge from the steering wheel. May not be suitable for outdoor use...
It does look the same as the steering wheel centre of my X202 (S-Type R).
From factory, I think the X350 and early X150 (4.2 litre) had the same growler 'graphic' wheel centre caps, in black. As per below: Above, X350 and early X150 wheel centre caps were in this 'graphic'', in black.
My X202 had the same growler as the X350 and early X150 but in green: Above, X202 in same 'graphic' (and I think X204 and X206) but in green
By the time of the X358 the Growler graphic had changed to below, again in black: Above, X358 received an updated Growler design. Also I think the later X150 (5.0 litre) had the same above cap design. By the time of the X351 the graphic had stayed the same but had changed to a red background.
I managed to get a good spare well priced aftermarket set of the X202 design (in the original green) but these are now very hard to find. I also bought for a good price in green the later Growler design mentioned above.
I noticed still a few genuine X202 design, for sale in the green but not cheap.
These aftermarket ones I obtained have a 'Made in Italy' stamp on the back, if it is to be believed.
If you want them to last, never spray them with wheel cleaner, clean them only with mild soap and apply car wax on them regularly.
The early X350s have been produced with green caps similar to those in the steering wheel. Later, production has been suspended and the other green hub caps were introduced. You can see the difference whether green colored parts are visible in the mouth of the growler. The new ones have green in the mouth. The old ones have one solid silver surface as you can see in my picture.
Yes, you're right. Looks like it's a (green) road wheel badge that was used on the first x350's and the first S-Type's as well (x200).
The Australian market '04 sales brochure does show the XJ with a green road wheel cap, which must be this cap.
Looks like that green cap with just the green surround and no green in the Growler's mouth and eyes (as per your photo) may have also been used in various models at the time in the steering wheel as well.
By the time of the '07 year sales brochure the XJ's were photographed with the first style of black road wheel caps.
The later S-Type's (x202 onwards) also received the first updated style but in green.
