Wheel size and Seats
I'm still looking for the right XJ whether its a R, Super 8, or VDP. I've looked @ a really nice 05 VDP the other day, but my wife was a bit disappointed in the seating. She thought it was a bit flat and not very comfy. We have looked @ a XK8 with 237,000 and backed away from that one for more than few reasons, but she liked the seats in that car. We also looked @ a 05 XJL which we liked but the sales folks where terrible so we moved on. The seats in the L appeared to be the same as the XK's.
A few of the amenities I'm looking for are touch screen nav, adaptive cruise, and parking assist. To me, it seems that XJRs have the seating we are looking for and of course the options as well. From what I have seen of the Super 8 and VDP will I find a car with the seats we are looking for?
Second has to do with wheels size. I have seen quite a few different variation of rims and tire size, which by itself doesn't worry me. My question is how is speedo calibration done? Are we still changing spur gears or can you go to the dealer and have them tweek the transmission computer? Better yet can I do it? LOL

Wheel sizes are programmed to the car, so if you swap diameters, it's a visit to the dealer. Nothing mechanical is done, its a program setting change. I don't think it costs much, just the technician time of about 15 minutes, I think.
