My ‘04 XJR suffered some minor hail damage (came out of nowhere) before I got it into the garage. I sent it in for paintless dent repair. The car looks great aside from the fact that the interior part of the sunroof now slides rearwards when I accelerate…it’s always something.
When I was looking for an earbud under the driver’s seat today, I found this bolt, which I am certain was not there before. Any idea where it goes? Thanks.
Has some thread lock residue so it probably passes through a seat rail with a welded nut on the backside where the 2" smooth shaft may act as an end stop or pivot point
Could it be a leftover from a gas stove that been trasported by second owner decade ago?
Sorry folks, could not resist....
Seriously: Mark probably correct, this could be from seat mechanism and hidden deeper than camera can see. Does seat have any abormal endplay in any of adjustment axis? It could be an axis on traling support. Somebody with seat diagram/experience would be of help here. I just appreciate the humor.
