I actually wanted to wait until I reach the next round number, but put my XJ8 with 318.097 km (i.e. 197.656 miles) on the list.

Default Mileage

2004 xj8 bought at 35k now 226,000. Always mobile one. Change tranny fluid every 40K. Replaced air shocks and all front end bushings at 110k after I hit coyote in OK. and knocked off Compressor. 2 new radiator reservoir tanks. 4 sets of tires, Nav not working headliner sagging and now in process of replacing intake manifold gaskets. Burns no oil and ran great until recent air leaks in manifold.

We should start the LOW club - my 2009 Portfolio has 20,596 miles as of Jan 8th.

(but my F-Type only has 1,600 miles)......I need to live in the USA more days in a year

2004 XJ8 143,000 Miles. Have recurring code problems, first bank #1, then bank#2, mechanic said the computer was bad, ordered a ECM from a seller on Ebay. The previous owner had the front Air Suspension shocks changed before he sold it. Love the car, pure driving joy despite the problems.
Prior cars: 1950 Ford Convertible, 1953 Oldsmobile 98 Convertible, 1955 Buick Century 4 door, 1958 Corvette w/ both tops, 1963 Ford Galaxy 500 (406), 1965 Lincoln Convertible, 1965 Lincoln Hardtop, 1972 Ford T'Bird, 1984 Jaguar XJ6, 1988 Jeep Cherokee Limited, 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 (V10), and the 2004 XJ8, I also had a Yamaha 600 somewhere in the past as well as a Yamaha 750 in 1984.

Check first of all if your battery and alternator are working properly. Jags are very sensitive to batteries.Your battery should be top notch. Let me know.

Where did you find all front end bushings separately? I've looking around everywhere. Thanks

It has been awhile since I did the bushing's. I'll go back and research what I did and will get back to you with details.

Front lower control arm bushing. You will need a big press to remove.

I'm at 165k and counting on my 2004 XJ8. She needs a little wrench turning now and then but an amazing car and well worth the effort. Compared to other cars at 14yrs old with 165k miles it's in amazing condition.

From this one you need one for each side correct? I use my XJ8 as a daily driver. So which brand would you recommend in the daily driver category?

I find maintaining cars in the same garage challenging enough at times. I don't envy you the task of doing this across two Continents!

Colorado Fleet:
1960 MGA | 1964 Mercedes-Benz 230SL | 1999 Ford Ranger XLT | 2007 Audi TT Quattro Coupe 3.2 | 2009 Jaguar XJ Portfolio | 2014 Jaguar F Type V8 S |
2001 BMW K1200RS | 2002 Buell Blast P3 | 2011 Harley Davidson Road King Classic

Germany Fleet:

Nice collection.

Mine is now 135.000 Km (approx 85.000 miles), and the only "problems" I have had are a failed license plate light bulb and the sensor that controls that the engine cover is closed. This sensor problem is a little annoying because the alarm sounds soon after I lock the car, but I have been told that the fix is easy and cheap. Despite the mileage, I have not had yet any problems with the air suspensión.
So far, my XJ358 is the most reliable car I ever had. That statement should be a compliment to Jaguar taking into account that my prior car was a Mercedes W124, the best, most robust and reliable car Mercedes has ever manufactured!!
